Book that room, buy that ticket, and go relax!

I recently went to Chattanooga TN, one of my favorite places and I decided to go by myself. I know crazy and scary especially in this political climate.

BUT it was fun! It was relaxing and honestly I can’t wait to plan my next trip

I am a stay-at-home mom so I spend 25/8 with my kids homeschooling and navigating the day. I also completed a semester of college for my business degree.

Basically my anxiety was up, I was going stir crazy, and needed that momcation!

When i got to Chattanooga I HAD to stop at McKay’s. I used most of my spending budget there on books! I had never looked at their book section before and let me tell you, it is HUGE. Highly recommend going there if you’re into movies, games, music, etc.. for a bargain.

Next I went to Rembrandt’s Coffee House. It was so little and cute. But, it was packed and sadly the wind was blowing really hard so sitting outside was not that relaxing.

The spinach chicken wrap and frozen white mocha I got were a 10\10 at least.

Before I went to my hotel I visited the Hunter Museum of American Art. I really enjoyed it and cant wait to take my family one day. There was a picture of a homeless man under a fast food sign and protest, the images really symbolized the state of the world. Upstairs they had a bunch of art from college students at Spelman. Hear Their Gentle Voices calling by Hung Liu really spoke to me I had to look at it twice.

After the museum I went to my hotel I accidentally booked a huge suite. It had 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms and made me miss my kids lol. I had planned on going home the next day but there was a freeze advisory, so i said might as well stay another night.

I mainly lounged around and watched America’s Sweethearts: DCC. Overall the trip was a great reset and idk where I’m going next but I’m going!
